New beginnings

Over the past two years I’ve evolved as both a person and a web developer. Some would say I’ve grown up and procured a sense of ambition in both my work life and personal goals; learning new programming languages and revisiting old hobbies such as photography and UI design. I felt this was a good enough reason to revitalize my online image and aim for a more personal approach with my work.

The new site will also fuel my new found desire to write about anything and everything I create, fix or ponder about. Any fellow developers would agree with me when I say that over 50% of our problems are either fixed by blog posts or Stackoverflow. I wouldn’t be where I am today without them, honestly. They are the light at the end of  the tunnel when I’ve been bashing my head against the keyboard for several hours. In light of this, I have been inspired to document problems and solutions for development-related work,  for both my own assurance that I completely understand the problem, and in the hope that it will aid another developer reading it in their hour of need.

Of course a blog wouldn’t be a blog without the odd rambling and humorous link attached, just to keep things light and interesting in between the numerous epiphany explosions. If you enjoy these and wish to see more, feel free to check out my twitter feed @tom_dalimore.

Well, there you have it. Feel free to browse around the site; I will be expanding it very soon to contain a frontpage, portfolio and my photography experiences so hold tight! In the mean time I’ll leave you with an inspirational quote, until next time.

Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.
